Job Description: The Applied Research Technician plays a crucial role in our data collection processes, blending academic knowledge with practical and applied thinking. If you're driven, passionate about sports, health, wellness, performance analysis, and product evaluation, we want you on our team. Education:
• Bachelor’s degree (with 1-2 years of experience) or Masters degree in human movement science or related field (biomechanics, kinesiology, exercise physiology, engineering)


Skills & Abilities:
• Experience with biomechanics and exercise physiology related systems and equipment (e.g., 3D motion capture, force plates, IMU’s, metabolic carts, ECG, pressure insoles, etc.).
• Proficiency with consumer wearable devices, mobile apps, and web-based data platforms (e.g., Polar, Garmin, Apple, Suunto, Fitbit, etc.).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
• Comfortable working with human subjects while collecting data.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and attention to detail.


Key Accountabilities:
• Work closely with the Senior Research Scientist to execute day-to-day product research, validation, and user testing, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
• Become proficient in all data collection systems used internally and assess the functionality of new technologies.
• Perform full data collection lifecycle, including recruitment, collection, processing, and analyses.
• Promote professional interactions with participants.
• Efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Troubleshoot data collection systems and critically assess the quality of data.
• Provide critical feedback to the Senior Research Scientist related to methods, data collection systems, and analyses.
• Adhere to timelines and deliverables.
